How to delete your Spouz account, what's removed straight away, and what's kept for a short time.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open Spouz and tap Profile.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account, below Sign out.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete my account.

Your account is deleted at once and can’t be recovered. You’re signed out on every device.

What’s deleted

Straight away, we delete:

  • your account, email address and password
  • your profile, photos and selfie
  • your interests, passes and matches, and every message in your chats, including the other member’s messages
  • blocks and reports that involve you, and your profile views
  • your notification tokens and any notifications waiting to be sent

Other members can no longer see or contact you.

What’s kept for a short time

  • Our database backups keep a copy for up to 30 days, then they’re deleted.
  • Deleted photos can be recovered by us for up to 7 days, then they’re gone.
  • Other members’ phones may keep a copy of your photos for up to an hour, and any notifications they’ve already received.
  • Our technical logs are overwritten as new logs are written.

If you can’t use the app

If you can’t sign in, or can’t reach Delete account in the app, email spouz.support@gmail.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We’ll delete your account and everything listed above within 7 days, and reply to confirm.
